Described as his “first love” in medicine, Dr. Goyeneche attributes his decision to pursue a career in medicine to trips to the doctor after getting injured playing sports as a child and teenager. He understands what it means to an athlete to not be able to participate in their sport, therefore it is a constant goal to get his patients back to their sport and healthy as soon as possible. While Dr. Goyeneche sees athletes throughout the region, he serves as a team physician for the Covington High School Lions and is also a consultant to the New Orleans Saints professional football team.
